Forfatteren er dog kendt for at have snydt med data fra hans vægttabs gruppe, så det ser ud til at man taber sig mere på hans diæt en andres. Hans dokumentation for den helbredende effekt af grøntsager, frugt og nødder er der imod veldokumenteret.

Man ved det jo godt, men det kan alligevel noget, at få det bakket op af videnskaben og så vilde succeshistorier. Ja, den er lidt amerikansk, men hvis man kan se igennem fingre med det og høre indholdet, så er det top motiverende. Jeg ændrede min kost første dag jeg gik i gang med bogen og siden har jeg forholdt mig anderledes til at være sulten og nu er det gået væk. Jeg fortsætter helt klart!
