#1 Willpower is the ability to say no to temptation and stay on track when you want to do something else. It is about harnessing the three powers of I will, I won’t, and I want to help you achieve your goals.

#2 The need for self-control is something that has been with us since the beginning of human history. Our brains have evolved to catch up to these demands, and we have willpower: the ability to control the impulses that helped us become fully human.

#3 Willpower is the ability to control your thoughts and actions, and it is the most important thing you can develop to improve your life. It is the thing that distinguishes us humans from other animals.

#4 The prefrontal cortex, a portion of the brain behind your forehead and eyes, is responsible for controlling your thoughts and actions. It developed to control physical movement, but now it controls what you pay attention to, what you think about, and how you feel.
