Real-Time Crime

It was a busy week one of the trial against the Texas teen accused of murdering another teen at a track meet last year. The prosecution called a total of 21 witnesses to the stand, resting their case against Karmelo Anthony Saturday afternoon. Jurors heard from coaches and other students who were in the tent at the time of the stabbing of 17 year old Austin Metcalf. The defense ended the Saturday court session by calling its first witness to the stand.

Karmelo Anthony Murder Trial: Prosecution Rests ... On a Saturday

The 20 year old Auburn student who was last seen walking towards hiking trails in Japan, was found dead on Saturday in a mountainous area outside of Kyoto. The parents of Weston Higginbotham made the tragic announcement after asking for the public’s help in finding their son. The family said Weston he took off on his own, after a disagreement during the family trip to Japan to celebrate his younger brother’s high school graduation.

40 Years After Her Rape And Murder, Justice For Roberta Walls

Two doctoral students at the University of South Florida went missing within one hour of each other and police are now asking for the public’s help. 27-year-old Zamil Limon and Nahida Bristy were last seen separately on and near campus on the morning of April 16th. Police say their phones are turned off and there is no digital footprint to follow. Friends, family and the university all say these are responsible students who would never voluntarily go awol.
