Trump Talks Iran Deal

President Trump said that his administration held what he called “very good talks” with Tehran in the past 24 hours, but both sides are offering contradictory and changing assessments of the state of war and talks of peace. Washington correspondent Sagar Meghani reports the U.S. military says it struck an Iranian oil tanker as the US naval blockade of Iranian ports remains in place and issued new threats to Iran, while Iran says the Strait of Hormuz is open, a move which led the price of oil to fall.

Correspondent Charles de Ledesma reports three people so far have died, and Jake Rosmarin, a travel influencer from Boston and passenger on the infected ship, posted a tearful message on social media saying all he wants to do is go home.
