This episode looks at Nehemiah 2:1-5, 17-18. In this passage, we read about how God placed a burden on the heart of Nehemiah to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem. The king for whom Nehemiah worked saw how sad Nehemiah was after hearing the news of his homeland being destroyed. The king sent Nehemiah back to Judah and told him he would help him by providing all the resources he would need to complete the task. The burden Nehemiah felt paved the way for the work Nehemiah would do. We learn from this lesson that God places burdens on our hearts.
