On the morning of Wednesday, April 19th, 1995 an ex-army soldier turned homegrown terrorist Timothy James McVeigh blew up the Alfred P. Murrah building in downtown Oklahoma City. He had conspired with others to carryout this horrific act against his fellow Americans. April 19th, is also Patriot’s Day. In 1995 it was the sad two year anniversary of the conclusion of the Waco Siege resulting in the deaths of many American citizens. This too, would be that day that the state of Arkansas executed Richard Snell. Snell was convicted of hate crimes, murder, and a man who once conspired to blow up the Alfred P. Murray building.

Their father John, claims the boys were abused by their mother and he was getting them out of a bad situation. However John’s story does not add up. Law Enforcement does not believe him and today John sits behind bars. This week we crack a beer and discuss this stranger than fiction true crime story.

On June 4, 2019, a little after 5 P.M., longtime friends Carnell “Nell” Sledge and Katherine “Kate” Brown arrived at the Rocky River Reservation which is a section of the Cleveland MetroParks. Both met at a pull-off gravel parking lot near the Lorain Road Bridge. Carnell and Katherine were shot and killed near a park bench shortly after arriving. Carnell was only 40 years old and Katherine was just 33 years old. These homicides are still unsolved. We covered this case before (see below) and will continue to follow up as necessary until an arrest(s) is made. Anyone with information regarding these murders is asked to call the FBI’s Cleveland field office at 216-622-6842. 18 year old Nieko Lisi went missing sometime around October 1st, 2011. His disappearance occurred sometime during a time period filled with suspicious circumstances. Nieko is technically missing from Addison, New York. He may have gone to Michigan and/or Ohio. Nieko is said to have been seen in and interacted with persons who knew him in the Franklin/ Nashville Tennessee area. His phone also shows activity in all four of the previously mentioned states all within a short timeframe of about 48 hours. Anyone with any information about Nieko or his disappearance should call 1-800-TBI-FIND, or submit a tip online by emailing TipsToTBI@tn.gov. The Lisi family is offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to Nieko's whereabouts. Franklin police and Crime Stoppers are offering an additional reward of up to $1,000 for information in this case.

Parkersburg, West Virginia - On the evening of December 3, 2022 twenty seven year old Gretchen Fleming went to a popular downtown bar for a night of fun. She has not been seen since. Parkersburg Police and her family have been desperately seeking answers and help trying to locate Gretchen. Now, after the passage of time they all fear the very worst. Police worked diligently and swiftly with their investigation. Evidence brought them to question the actions, movements, and motivations of one man in particular. Police believe that late that night Gretchen’s path crossed with his and law enforcement wants to know what he knows. Parkersburg Police is seeking help from the general public as well.
