This week from the Garage, we are very happy to be bringing to you major updates in three cases that we have covered. 38 year old Amber Spradlin was killed at an after work party sometime in the night of June 18, 2023. True Crime Garage covered this case in July of 2023 with episode #687. Since, arrests have been made and trial dates have been set. In 2013 Cleveland Clinic nurse Aliza Sherman was killed in downtown Cleveland in broad daylight. Back in December of 2017 we covered his “stranger than fiction” true crime story in a four part series. These were episodes #167 to #170. As we predicted Aliza Sherman’s divorce attorney Gregory Moore was arrested and charged with her murder. In March of 1992, Amy Hooper was murdered in her Lincoln Village apartment on the westside of Columbus, Ohio. In December of 2025 Bruce Daniels was arrested for this homicide in Washington state. We are keeping a close eye on this one as it inches closer to the murder trial.

26 year old Emma Fillipoff has been missing for almost 4 years now. There have been plenty of strange leads in this case. Emma is spotted and photographed in a nearby city sipping coffee at a coffee shop - or so they thought. A strange unidentified man gets upset when he sees Emma's missing persons poster. He rips the poster off of the wall and tells a store clerk that the picture is of his girlfriend. Then there's the stalker. Was Emma stalked or was it as he puts it "we were just friends." Emma's mother Shelley Fillipoff spends 2 months in a city far from her home searching for her missing daughter. After criminal charges are filed against her on an unrelated event, the public eye has now become very suspicous of the mother who arrived in a city far from her home the very same day her daughter was last seen there. Grab a beer because there is plenty to talk about tonight in the garage.

 Circleville, Ohio appears to be a town where everyone knows everyone’s secrets, or at least one person did. For over a decade anonymous letters were arriving in the mailboxes of residents, businesses, local city officials, schools and churches. These letters were demanding, accusatory and often threatening. Then one of the recipients dies a mysterious death. Afterwards, the local unsolved murder is mentioned time and time again in the letters. The author was claiming to know who was responsible for this unsolved murder of a local lady. Vulgar signs started to appear on the sides of busy roads and a murder attempt is made. A man is locked up for the attempted murder and yet the letters continued. Unsolved Mysteries featured this case and they too received strange and ominous letters. Many have called the Circleville Writer case - Ohio's greatest unsolved mystery. February 20, 2009 - Wampum, Pennsylvania. A 26 year old mother of two is found dead in her home. She was found to be shot in the head laying in her bed. State Police quickly determined that she was found a very short period of time after having been killed, maybe just minutes. In which, Singular discusses some of the lesser known characters of the case, his findings, and magnifies the problems with the murder investigation. Parkersburg, West Virginia - On the evening of December 3, 2022 twenty seven year old Gretchen Fleming went to a popular downtown bar for a night of fun. She has not been seen since. Parkersburg Police and her family have been desperately seeking answers and help trying to locate Gretchen. Now, after the passage of time they all fear the very worst. Police worked diligently and swiftly with their investigation. Evidence brought them to question the actions, movements, and motivations of one man in particular. Police believe that late that night Gretchen’s path crossed with his and law enforcement wants to know what he knows. Parkersburg Police is seeking help from the general public as well. This week we tell the tale of Robert Pickton, Canada’s most infamous serial killer. Robert Pickton was a pig farmer turned serial killer who hit it big with the sale of a large portion of the family farm. Instead of using his riches for good, he hosted drug and alcohol fueled parties on his disgusting farm at a place called “The Piggie Palace.” Around this same time women started to disappear from a seedy area of Vancouver, known as “The Low Track.” It took the police longer than it should have to learn that they had a problem, a big one. Some mysteries remain with this case. No one is certain how many people Pickton killed. It also would seem like he must have had some help along the way. Who else is responsible?
