68 year old Terry Lee McCoy lived alone in a nice ranch style home on 38 acres of land. Few several months he had been working to sell the home and property to downsize but mysteriously he vanished. At his home there were obvious signs of foul play. Terry didn’t just disappear he was murdered and likely by someone who knew him. His body was found 19 days later. There are several “Persons of Interest” in this still unsolved homicide case. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension tip line 1-877-996-6222. You may be eligible for a reward.

July 20, 2020: 23 year old Zachariah Juwaun Shorty went missing from a motel room at the Journey Inn, located at 317 N. Airport Drive in Farmington, New Mexico. According to Zach’s mother, there were four individuals staying there in addition to her son. This was two men and two women. The room number was 129. The F.B.I. has announced an $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of those responsible. If you have any information regarding the still unsolved murder of Zachariah Juwaun Shorty please contact the F.B.I. at 1-505-889-1300 OR tips@FBI.gov AND Farmington Police Department 1-505-599-1053.

December 11, 1994; Dwanna Harris went to the Wonderland Mall in Livonia, Michigan with her son D'Wan. D'Wan is just a little guy, four years old and about three foot tall. The Wonderland mall was very busy with holiday shoppers. The two talked together as they made their way through the mall. D'Wan was walking almost directly behind his mother as they talked. Dwanna asked the little boy a question but he did not answer her. She turned around and her son D'Wan was gone. Tonight we discuss one of Michigan's most famous missing child cases.

Police worked diligently and swiftly with their investigation. Evidence brought them to question the actions, movements, and motivations of one man in particular.  The Gilgo Beach Killer, The Long Island Serial Killer, L.I.S.K., and the list of names, and monikers goes on and on. These are all names given to an unidentified serial killer that is responsible for four murders, maybe eleven unsolved homicides, and likely the number could be higher. These names refer to a series of murders that took place from 1996 to 2011 in which the remains of eleven people were found on the South Shore of Long Island, New York. From the public’s perspective, this all started when Shannon Gilbert went missing in the early morning hours of May 1, 2010. Her disappearance triggered the finding of four sets of remains off of Ocean Parkway at Gilgo Beach. These victims became known as the Gilgo Four. By May of 2011 police had discovered six more sets of remains in the area. But the truth is that this nightmare started long before Shannon disappeared. 

 

In 2023, an architect then 59-year old, Rex Heuermann was arrested and initially charged with three of the murders. Just this month he was charged with a seventh homicide. This week in the Garage, we talk about what the police found in Rex Heuermann’s home, specifically a planning document. This is a kill document, one that many are calling Rex Heuermann’s Blue Print for Murder.

39 year old David Glenn Lewis was reported missing by his wife on February 1, 1993. Mrs Lewis and the couple’s daughter had been away for an out of town weekend shopping trip. When they returned home instead of finding the husband and father, they found a mystery. Police and family quickly uncover strange sightings of the man compounded with strange activities. None revealing how, when, and where he would actually be found. This is a true crime mystery that starts with a missing man and very quickly we find more and more questions.
