In this REDUX edition, we explore Gerard Manley Hopkins’ poem Spring and Fall to a Young Child, a work whose meditation on loss and innocence casts a chilling light on the story of Tommy Sullivan. Alongside the poem, we examine Tommy’s life as a young wrestler in Jefferson Township, New Jersey—a world of pressure, discipline, and hidden struggle.
