Unpacking the Complexities of ADHD, Stress, Pain and Hypermobility with Nick Potter

Creating Mindful ADHD Tech Habits for a Calmer Life

In this week’s episode of The ADHD Women’s Wellbeing Podcast, we’re exploring the complex and often overlooked intersection of ADHD, hormones, and women’s mental health, particularly during pivotal life transitions like perimenopause.

I’m joined by Dr. Helen Wall, a GP and registered menopause specialist with the British Menopause Society. Helen is also a resident GP on BBC Breakfast, a columnist for Woman magazine, and public health clinical director in Greater Manchester. Same Diagnosis, Different Journeys with You’re Wrong About ADHD's Sam Pittis & Katie Breathwick

In this episode of More Yourself, I'm sharing a clip from a recent SEED Talk I presented back in July, focusing on how we can work with our uniquely wonderful ADHD brains, rather than against them. 

Understanding our ADHD brain is a key element of healing, but we don't have to face this as though it is something new. We have always been neurodivergent, but we may not have had the language or awareness to understand it before. 

The modern world asks us to constantly perform, engage in challenging environments and overcompensate to fit in, but this can be exhausting. When we begin to find self-compassion, honour our unique experiences, we can tune into our bodies and take small, intentional steps toward self-care, self-regulation, and authenticity. In turn, self-trust releases the need for external validation and reclaims a life that feels more aligned, more spacious, and more true to who we are.

Burnout, Boundaries and Bandwidth: ADHD-Informed Decision Making and Self-Trust with Anna Mathur

On this short podcast episode of ADHD Women's Wellbeing Wisdom, I talk to Hester Grainger, a neurodiversity consultant, co-founder of Perfectly Autistic and Perfectly ADHD, a radio presenter and former TV presenter diagnosed with ADHD in her forties, about changing the way we look at neurodivergence in the workplace, raising awareness of what neurodiversity looks like in the office and showing up to help more people feel supported at work. We also discuss ways employees can feel seen and heard at work and break down stigmas to help create more awareness and education. 

Together with her husband Kelly, who is autistic and has ADHD, they run their neurodiversity consultancy, which works with organisations to raise awareness and acceptance of neurodiversity in the workplace and works with parents and education settings around autism and ADHD.

Hester is also mum to her two children, who are autistic and have ADHD.
