Jayanta is son of Devraj Indra. Once he had doubts over the divine nature of Shri Ram and in order to test Him, he disguised himself in the form of a crow and attacked Sita mata, when they were living in Chitrakuta during their exile.
When Shri Ram saw Sitaji’s blood, he got enraged, picked a blade of grass and unleashed Brahmastra out of it on Jayant disguised as a crow.
Jayant ran towards all the Gods, including his father requesting them to rescue Him from the Brahmastra but none of them could do anything about it.
In the end he went to Shri Ram and pleaded for forgiveness. Shri Ram said that he cannot take back the Brahmastra and directed it towards his right eye, leaving him blind in one eye. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
