PacWest Tumbles on Deposit Losses, Disney "Streams" Lower, Inflation Watch 5/11/23

Carl Quintanilla, Jim Cramer and David Faber led off the show with banking turmoil in focus: PacWest shares tumbled and dragged down other regional banks after the company disclosed it lost 9.5% in deposits during the week ended May 5. Shares of Disney also down sharply after the media giant said it experienced streaming subscriber losses for a second consecutive quarter. On the inflation front, the April Producer Price Index rose 2.3% year-on-year -- the smallest increase since January 2021. Also in focus: Alphabet shares jump on Google's AI showcase, Goodyear shares soar on activism news, the Hindenburg-Carl Icahn battle heats up.
