We cover everything from big time serial killers (and those you may never have heard of), to hauntings, possessions, disturbing mysteries, bizarre whodunits and basically anything that tickles our creepy fancy. And if you believe the PR, it’ll be a car-free, carbon-free, utopian existence – the most equitable and sustainable society in human history. But will it happen? And what is the financial (and human) cost? For our first ShortHand back in 2026, we’re looking at the most ambitious and controversial building project ever: The Line.

30th December 2000, in Setagaya Japan, the Miyazawa family were preparing for the upcoming festivities. Tragically, however, the family wouldn't live to see the new year because that night they were all brutally murdered in their own home.
