The term “stealthing” is making headlines after Maine Democrat and Senatorial Candidate Graham Platner has been accused by an ex-girlfriend of repeatedly removing condoms without her consent during sex. We did a deep dive on the subject and were fascinated and frustrated by the lack of recognition from lawmakers in this country about NCCR: Nonconsensual condom removal. Several countries around the world have strict, criminal code on stealthing, categorizing it as a “rape adjacent” crime. Right now, only a handful of states allow victims to pursue civil damages, but not a single jurisdiction in this country considers stealthing a crime.
