A New Form of Human Trafficking Is Happening in Nightclubs | Jayden Posen | Have A Seat

Michael Rhodes did seventeen years in the Louisiana prison system for
dealing meth. Hard labor, hard time, the kind that's supposed to take. A year out and working a forklift, he spent two days sending explicit messages to someone who told him she was fifteen - then drove up to a sting house on the river in Livingston Parish in shorts and a tank top for the date. The decoy who let him in works at the parish jail by day. She had him talking about his own record before Chris ever came through the door. Rhodes says he was just talking. In this part of the country, that's a felony. There's a condom in his wallet, a machete in his car, and a fifteen-year-old daughter at home - the same age as the girl he showed up to see. Asked what should happen to him, he finally says something true. Last week
he pleaded guilty. Seven years. This time he doesn't go back as a drug dealer.

The Double Life of Ivan Walters

Eric Hernan Gamonal is an unaired suspected predator
involved in the Riverside, California investigation. He is known for being a
lawyer prior to being caught in the sting. On January 6th, 2006, the
first day of the sting, using the screen name "chinaski818," Eric
made contact with a decoy he thought was a fourteen-year-old girl named Maria
Bothal. Eric was considered a "fast mover," because after verifying
that he had seen her age on her profile, he told her she was cute, inquired as
to whether she had a boyfriend, asked if he could replace him as his, and
inquired as to whether she had had oral sex before. Chris brought all
that to a halt.
