This episode is a very special one. I have been recently looking deeper into the power of affirmations and how to make them most influential on the brain, body and mind.
When you sleep, your conscious mind, the thinking busy mind goes to bed. The conscious mind is often what gets in the way of our affirmations because we are thinking about them, analysing them and our beliefs often stop the affirmations from really sinking into our being.
When you are asleep, all of that shuts off. What's left is the subconscious. Your subconscious never ever goes to sleep. Even during a surgery, the subconscious cannot be put to sleep. It is beating your heart, dealing with your digestion and while you sleep it is healing and repairing the body while also clearing the brain of waste and inflammation. It's a massively important healing time which is why getting good quality sleep is a big key to living a long and healthy life.
Because your subconscious brain is still technically awake while you sleep... turns out affirmations may be more affective to listen to while sleeping. That way, you bypass the nonsense in the conscious brain that may get in the way of your affirmations and go straight to the subconscious, we make suggestions through affirmations and allow the subconscious to manifest them as we sleep.
This is unbelievably powerful and that power is EXACTLY why this episode now exists.
