Hell And Gone is a true crime podcast from iHeartPodcasts and School of Humans that follows journalist and private investigator Catherine Townsend as she investigates unsolved deaths. 

Now in its fifth season, Hell and Gone is going weekly. 

Over the past five years of making true crime podcast Hell and Gone, host Catherine Townsend has received hundreds of messages from people all around the country asking for help with an unsolved murder that’s affected them, their families and their communities. 

In past seasons of the show, she’s only been able to focus on one case. But now, she’s hosting a new weekly show called Hell and Gone Murder Line. Every Thursday, Catherine features a new case, adds updates to old ones, and helps as much as she can to get the word out about unsolved murders.

Hell and Gone

Late at night on August 28, 2001 when 15-year-old Jessie Marie Twilight Song Crooks, who went by Twilight, took a late night phone call at her home on Larmon Mill Road in Plano, Kentucky. She snuck out of her house and was never seen alive again. 
 
In part 2, we'll dive into rumors of an older crowd, a meth ring, and a mysterious white truck among other leads to see if we can find out if one of them knows who put Twilight in those woods.

On August 28, 2001, 15-year-old who everyone knew as Twilight, was hanging out at her home in Plano, Kentucky - when she got a phone call late at night. Twilight was picked up by someone and never seen alive again...

Hell and Gone Murder Line: Twilight Crooks

On January 28, 2001 Super Bowl Sunday, 18-year-old Jill Lyn Euto was getting ready to go watch the big game with her family. The game started and the halftime show came and went. Jill never arrived. She was found in her apartment a couple days later stabbed to death and her family no where closer to finding answers.

Hell and Gone Murder Line: Jill Lyn Euto

On May 11, 1992 20 year old newlywed Jeninfer Judd was viciously attacked and murdered at home on North Park Avenue in Baxter Springs, Kansas. 
 
At 2:30 that day, Jenifer’s husband of nine days, Justin Judd came home from work and found his wife’s body in the kitchen. 
 
33 years later Jennifer’s murder is still unsolved.

Hell and Gone Murder Line: Jennifer Judd

On Saturday, March 27, 2021, a hiker was taking her dogs through the woods in Hot Springs National park near the intersection of Whittington and Blacksnake Road. 
 
The hiker felt safe heading out to the woods on her own - but that that day, after what she saw, her perception of the woods as a place of peace changed forever.

Thursday December 1, 1994 started out as just a normal day for Melissa Witt. She was a 19-year-old college student, who lived at home with her mom, Mary Ann, on a quiet street in a quiet neighborhood in Fort Smith, Arkansas. 
 
That night, Melissa went to meet her mom at a bowling alley...but she never made it inside. Instead, Melissa disappeared. And Mary Ann never saw her daughter alive again.

Hell and Gone Murder Line: Melissa Witt [From the Archives]

On December 22 1981 around 1 to 1:15 am, a driver was going down a dark road MINERAL SPRINGS MOUNTAIN ROAD near the town of Valdese, North Carolina. 
 
It was a dark, snowy night and there was fresh snow on the ground the night before. They saw that the car had run into an embankment, and that the driver's door was open, as they approached the car, they realized that the car was still running. Next to the car, in a ditch, was the body of a young woman, 19 year old Rhonda Hinson. 
 
She was lying on her back with her arms by her side. She looked peaceful like she had been starting to make a snow angel - except for the bullet hole in her chest.

Hell and Gone Murder Line: Rhonda Hinson

On Sunday October 17, 2021 in Los Angeles, a 39-year-old mother of one named Heidi Planck went to watch her 11-year-old son Bond play football. When Heidi left the game, she said that she would call her son later, but even though she ALWAYS talked to him every day she never called him. In fact Bond never talked to his mother again. Because that day, Heidi Planck vanished.
