One listener writes in and asks, "What is boring the holes into my Fuji Apples?" More than likely, it is the larvae of the codling moth, a pest that commonly attacks apples and pears. Unfortunately, codling moth is one of the more difficult to control garden pests. However, America’s Favorite Retired College Horticultural Professor, Debbie Flower is here, and we have tips on how to limit codling moth populations.
Also, the plant lady, Marlene Simon, has advice on how to protect your outdoor succulents from the ravages of a frost or freeze this time of year.
