Armed Father-Son Duo Holds Federal Biologists Hostage in Terrifying Standoff | Crime Alert 07.22.26

Nazar Svintozelskiy, 25, enjoying a family day at a Kentucky lake when the pontoon on which he is lounging, is rammed by a speeding wake boat. Nazar, ejected from the stationary pontoon, died. His body recovered from the lake two days later. HIs cause of death is pending. His father, the pontoon's driver suffered severe traumatic injuries and remains in a medical induced coma.
 
34-year-old Cody Casey was driving the wake boat, accused of doing "doughnuts" just before the crash. 
 
Authorities are urging anyone who witnessed the incident to contact Kentucky Fish and Wildlife Law Enforcement through Kentucky State Police Post 7 in Richmond at 859-623-2404.

Four Arrested in Nantucket Extension Cord Kidnapping Beatdown | Crime Alert 07.21.26

Nolan Xavier Wells, 18, is a Mississippi high school football graduate and college freshman at Southwest Mississippi Community College. He went missing during a Fourth of July boat trip to Horn Island, off the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Nolan was traveling with a group of friends. Those friends returned home. Nolan didn't. 
 
His body was found face down on the island’s northwest end on July 6, two days later Authorities suspect drowning but an official cause of death has not been released. Wells’ parents have requested an independent autopsy in Washington, D.C. 
 
One of Wells’ friends, claims Nolan stayed behind with a girl he met that day. Others dispute that. Wells’ mother, Christine Wonsley, says location data from her son’s phone doesn't match what friends reported. The family has also raised concerns about the cellphone’s contents, as Wells reportedly left it on a boat to avoid getting it wet.

Nine Victims and Suspect Hospitalized in Tucson Midnight Shooting | Crime Alert 07.20.26

Kevin Verville Sr. is the father of Kevin Verville Jr., abducted at 17 days old from off-base military housing near Camp Pendleton on July 1, 1980.
 
Angelica Ramsey is the sister of Kevin Verville Jr., born after his abduction. She advocates for his case, sharing his age progression image and searching for the brother she has never met.

Sniper in the Trees: Elderly Volunteer Shot Mid-Delivery in Georgia | Crime Alert 07.18.26

Jake Reiner has made his first public appearances since the murders of his parents, Rob and Michele. He attended the red carpet premiere of HBO's Life, Larry and the Pursuit of Unhappiness. 
 
The murders of Michele and Rob Reiner happened after the pair leave Conan O'Brien's party without their son after his off-putting behavior, like wearing a hoodie to a formal event and interrupting Bill Hader’s private conversation, leads to an embarrassing public row.
 
Reiner, however, doesn’t make his own way to Brentwood. Instead, he pops up in Santa Monica at 4 a.m. Sunday morning, checking into The Pierside hotel. Desk staff don’t notice anything off about Reiner’s appearance, but the next morning, housekeepers find sheets covering the windows, and blood all over Reiner’s bedding and shower.
 
The Reiners’ troubles with their middle child have been bubbling to a head for months. Every photo of the family from the September premiere of Rob’s latest film, "Spinal Tap: The End Continues," picture the 32-year-old sporting a deep scowl.
 
By November, Nick Reiner moves back into his parents’ guest house, which he’s trashed on multiple occasions, leading up to a blowout fight the day after Thanksgiving that left Michele “at her wits’ end.”

Jake Reiner Makes Brave First Appearance Since Murder of Parents, Rob and Michele

Fake German heiress Anna Sorokin conned her way into Manhattan society.
 
Posing as Anna Delvey, a German heiress, she swindled banks, hotels, and friends out of more than $200,000. She forged checks to get money from banks and charmed people into paying for extravagant meals and travel.
 
Sorokin was convicted on a handful of grand larceny and theft of services charges. After serving her time, the 31-year-old was released from prison and is now fighting against deportation, but her may have run out. Homeland Security is speaking out saying, "We look forward to sending her home soon." 
 
Initially after her release, Sorokin landed a deal with Netflix for the rights to her life story, then began selling her artwork, and took her turn on Dancing With The Stars.
