A North Carolina Superior Court judge in Forsyth County, NC, ruled on August 8th, 2025, to vacate the convictions of the Winston Salem 5 for the 2002 murder of Nathaniel Jones and dismiss all charges with prejudice after finding credibility to their claims of innocence. But brothers Rayshawn Banner and Nathaniel Cauthen remain behind bars. In this special update episode, Delia returns to her home state to interview people from the investigation and post-conviction process to explain the current litigation still ongoing in the North Carolina Court of Appeals.

Season 7: Jousting (Update)

Jane Boroski was seven months pregnant when she was stabbed 27 times by an unknown man. Miraculously, she survived. But Jane later finds out she is the only survivor of a serial killer who prowled the Connecticut River Valley in the 1980s and killed at least 8 women before her. Now, she's here to speak for the dead.

Dark Valley is an investigation into the Connecticut River Valley Killer (CRVK) and the 8 women who were brutally murdered. CRVK prowled the borderland of Vermont and New Hampshire in the 1980s. These cases remain unsolved to this day. Produced and hosted by Jennifer Amell.

Narratively driven, Dark Valley centralizes the story of Jane Boroksi, considered to be the lone survivor of the Valley Killer as she and Jennifer investigate the cold cases of Catherine Millican, Elizabeth Betsy Critchley, Heidi Martin, Bernice Courtemanche, Ellen Fried, Eva Morse, Lynda Moore, and Barbara Agnew. Jane Boroski recounts her harrowing attack in 1988, when a stranger savagely stabbed her 27 times while she was pregnant. The investigation unfolds in real-time as Jennifer works to highlight the victims' voices and uncover new leads and suspects by talking with law enforcement, criminal profiler Dr. John Philpin, victims' families, and locals.

Delia learns some disturbing details and bizarre information about the alleged events of October 12th, 1992, in Oak City. When Larry Jones dies unexpectedly in prison less than three months after his arrest, people in Martin County who longed for answers about the Oak City bank robbery incident speculate about what really happened to him. She visits the bank building in person to get a sense of the scenery and speaks with more witnesses who were there on the day of the crime.
