Take your German to the next level with Coffee Break German Advanced. Join native speaker Andrea and learner Mark as they guide you through the intricacies of the language. This podcast is aimed at learners working at B1/B2 level and we'll be covering grammatical structures and topics appropriate to this level. In each episode Mark and Andrea will discuss a language point, and then you'll listen to a dialogue which features examples of the language point, helping you consolidate what you've learned.

After enjoying a delicious meal with their family to celebrate Marian and Lucie's exam results, they sit down with their father Michael to further discuss preparations for moving to California. In this episode, among other things, you can observe how the infinitive is used in subordinate clauses (with and without “um”) and review the use of reflexive verbs. In this episode of Coffee Break German we're focusing on the use of the future tense. We learn how to express plans, promises and assumptions in the future. That's not all, we also introduce adverbs which can be used to suggest that we are making an assumption. We then hear what we've learned in context during a dialogue. Some useful vocabulary to listen out for includes: beunruhigt, anständig and Ausbildung.
