Curious Canadian History: Jackie Robinson in Montreal

Before there was the Titanic, there was the SS Atlantic. On her 19th voyage across the ocean, she struck rocks off the coast of Nova Scotia and was lost to the sea with 535 people in one of the deadliest sinkings of her era.

Taken From Their Homes: British Home Children

The man they called The Little Giant nearly died from spinal tuberculosis when he was 11. It left him with stunted growth and a curved back. He went on to become one of the greatest geologists and surveyors in Canadian history.
