The Automatons, sometimes referred to as the Automaton Legion and self-denominated as both The Collective of Cyberstan and The Automaton Collective, are descendants of the Cyborgs, created to continue fighting against Super Earth and one day liberate the Cyborgs from their enslavement on Cyberstan following the end of the First Galactic War in 2084. The Illuminate, formerly the Illuminate Empire, sometimes referred to as the Illuminate Cult and self-denominated as the Squ'ith, are an advanced race of squid-like alien humanoids serving as the de facto archenemy of the Federation of Super Earth. According to a voiceline by the Democracy Officer, these aliens predate humanity's existence by millennia. They are a technologically advanced, mystical, and highly intelligent species, having gone down the path of electricity in the same way that humans went from rocks to bullets. The Terminids, sometimes referred to as the Terminid Horde or Terminid Swarm, and commonly called Bugs, are one of the enemy factions in the Second Galactic War. Having escaped the farms where they were harvested for Element-710, the Terminids engage in the violent attacks against the citizenry of Super Earth and with their un-Democratic power structure.
