Dr. Richard Illes, a successful heart surgeon, and his wife, Miriam, a stay-at-home mother to their young son, were a prominent couple in their small community of Williamsport, PA. Then, on Jan. 15, 1999, Miriam was fatally shot as she stood in front of her kitchen window. On the night of August 28, 1996, Yvette Rodier and Zach Snarr were on a date, taking pictures of the full moon in the mountains of Utah. They were interrupted when a stranger drove up, pulled a gun and opened fire. Zach was killed and Yvette was shot four times but survived by pretending to be dead. In December 1996, Atlanta resident David Coffin returned home from a weekend away with his girlfriend, Megan Lee, to find it had been ransacked and his Porsche was stolen. Two days later, David's house caught on fire and he was found dead inside. On June 29, 2009, Brian Davis disappeared. According to his wife, Robyn, and her best friend, Carol Saltzman, Brian had left to go boat shopping and never came home. Police soon began to suspect the women when an examination of their cell phone records convinced police that they were lying.
