In 1986, 21-year-old Mitzi Nalley was brutally murdered in her Texas home. Police arrested Jonathan Wayne Nobles, who confessed to the crime and was sentenced to the death penalty. For more than a decade, Mitzi's mother tried to arrange a face-to-face confrontation with Nobles, but he refused until two weeks before his execution. Veteran reporter Joe Nocera, of The Free Press, investigates a 94-year-old murder case that deserves a second look: the kidnapping and murder of Charles Lindbergh, Jr. Little Lindy was the infant son of the most famous man in the world at the time: an aviator who had achieved impossible feats. Unsurprisingly, the case was a media sensation in 1932: especially when German immigrant Bruno Hauptmann was tried and executed for the crime. Hauptmann professed his innocence to the end: but could he have been telling the truth? This is a series that asks: was this case America's first great conspiracy?

During his time competing on Survivor, Joe Hunter has been open about seeking justice for the death of his sister Joanna whose death was ruled a suicide. “48 Hours” correspondent Natalie Morales and producer Michelle Fanucci discuss their investigation into Joanna’s death and an interview with Hunter who believes Joanna’s husband, former pastor Mark Lewis, staged the scene after years of domestic violence. Mark Lewis has not been charged with any crime relating to the death of Joanna.
