Mkay, I really have an issue with female protagonists in Annette Marie's books hitting or smacking or doing something of the sort to guys and it somehow being okay. Like, if the male protagonist pushed around thp female character just because he's frlooloooloustrated or angry, people would lose their shit about it not being okay. Well, it's also not okay when women do it. And it's a consistent thing with how she writes her women. Other than that I enjoyed the book, but only because of Zach to be honest. I don't really like Saber. She's also what I've come to realise is a typical A.M. protagonist - hotheaded, doesn't think anything through (yet somehow always wonders about things a lot) and when the consequences of her thoughtless actions come to bite her in the behind, she makes a shocked Pikachu face and proceeds to break down with 'what else did I expect???? I am weak! I am nothing!!' Sigh.Will I still read the next book? Of course! I do actually enjoy them 🤷🏻‍♀️
