Meget interessant og en god introduktion til retssagerne og debatten omkring Oscar Wilde, retssagerne, deres politiske kontekst, (homo)sexualitet samt kunstsynet. Stykket er også godt på mange punkter, men meget anderledes. Mere dokumentarisk, endda med historiske kildeangivelser og kildeoplæsninger, end generelt teater hvilket både giver det historisk og (kunst)politisk vægt, men også går lidt udover stykket som underholdning og engagerende historie.
