Fakta
Robert Maxwell was a Czechoslovakian-born British media proprietor, former member of parliament (MP), suspected spy, and fraudster.
He was litigious and often embroiled in controversy. in 1986 Maxwell, it has been alleged, was the person who informed the Israeli Embassy in London that Mordechai Vanunu revealed information about Israel's nuclear capability to The Sunday Times, then to the Daily Mirror. Vanunu was subsequently kidnapped by Mossad and smuggled to Israel, convicted of treason, and imprisoned for 18 years. However Maxwells involvement has never been conclusively proven.
In 1991, his body was discovered floating in the Atlantic Ocean, having apparently fallen overboard from his yacht. Rumours abounded that a Mossad hitman had killed him. As Maxwell had allegedly threatened the prime minister of Israel, and blackmailed him for money to bail himself out of bankruptcy.
Three doctors were unable to decide on a cause of death.
The Question Remains was Maxwell killed? or was his death an unfortunate accident as has been claimed?
