The Suspicion (The Sherlock Holmes Advent Calendar: The Arrival of the Saviour, Episode 20)

The case seems solved: Brother Peter has confessed and taken his own life, the bags are packed, the train to London is waiting. But Holmes is not convinced – a fanatical devotee of the Virgin Mary, laying hands on the blood of the Messiah? Secretly he and Watson descend into the abbey's catacombs, where Watson examines the dead man and makes a shocking discovery. Suddenly it is clear: someone staged a suicide for them – and somewhere in the monastery's secret passages a woman is being held captive. With Inspector Lestrade they go down through the trapdoor in the laboratory into the underground, as far as a heavy, locked door... This radio play was produced with the help of Eleven Labs and using properly licensed voice clones, and was checked by human proofreaders.
