The Story of Miss Muffet

This adaptation of the classic nursery rhyme of "Little Miss Muffet" is a versified version by Clara Doty Bates that expands upon the tale into a romantic fairy rescue story, turning Miss Muffet's fright into the beginning of a magical abduction by a Fairy Prince. This short versified story was first published in 1882 among Clara Doty Bates' collection of short stories called "Child Lore: Its Classics, Traditions and Jingles".
