The Mother of God (The Sherlock Holmes Advent Calendar: The Arrival of the Saviour, Episode 21)

Behind the heavy door deep beneath the abbey lies a hidden, spotless sickroom – and in it, unconscious and feverish, Mariah Taylor. Watson realises at once how grave her condition is, and then the full, terrifying extent of the "holy experiment": the young woman is heavily pregnant. Holmes reveals the culprit's insane plan to create a future Mother of God for the new Messiah. Secretly, Holmes, Watson and Lestrade carry Mariah to their room, where Brother Paul makes a discovery that turns everything upside down. Suddenly Holmes knows who is behind it all – and he and Watson set out, armed, to confront the culprit... This radio play was produced with the help of Eleven Labs and using properly licensed voice clones, and was checked by human proofreaders.
