Retired FBI agent and criminal profiler Candice DeLong speaks with journalist Nick Foster to discuss the case of William Holbert, also known as “Wild Bill.” On the run from U.S. authorities, Holbert and his partner, Laura Michelle Reese, hid away in the idyllic landscape of Bocas Del Toro, Panama, where they worked together to kill at least six American expats and steal their properties. Candice and Nick discuss what he learned through his on-the-ground research of the case, how the area of Bocas del Toro became the perfect backdrop for Holbert’s crimes, and what it was like for Nick to speak with Holbert face-to-face in prison.
