The Evening Meal (The Sherlock Holmes Advent Calendar: The Arrival of the Saviour, Episode 5)

Supper in the Abbey of the Redeemer: the Franciscans silently spoon up their thin potato stew while Holmes, Watson and Lestrade sit at the head of the table with Abbot Brother Francis and Brother Peter. Then Holmes rises on his crutch and addresses the assembled monks – for the murderer of Brother Emanuel is sitting in the hall with them. Will the culprit give himself away? The abbot has a plan of his own, and in the council of war that follows, Holmes and the ill-tempered Inspector Lestrade clash: careful investigation or a gruelling interrogation? Even as Holmes speaks of a dangerous game, cries suddenly ring out through the monastery's corridors... This radio play was produced with the help of Eleven Labs and using properly licensed voice clones, and was checked by human proofreaders.
