Doogis is the pen name of a new author of children’s books, starting with the first title, The Dog With The Nose Like A Key.

The central character is inspired by the family’s lovable rescue dog. She is an extremely sweet but curious little soul. The family discovered early on that there was no closed door she couldn’t enter. Her “talent” became an immediate source of family humor. So much so that we coined the phrase “she had a nose like a key.”

It sparked the writer among us to take that idea and create a wonderful children’s book hero and bring her origin story to life.
