When a routine restoration ends in death, photographer Georgina Drake finds herself documenting murder instead of stained glass… Georgina is photographing the restoration of St Edmund’s church when young craftsman Liam Jacobs collapses after eating homemade banana bread. Despite Georgina’s desperate attempts at CPR, he dies at the scene. An unfortunate allergic reaction seems the obvious answer, until tests reveal something far more sinister… DI Colin Bradshaw swiftly takes over the investigation, but meanwhile, Georgina has uncovered a chilling historical parallel: over 150 years ago, the church’s vicar and his sister both died in mysterious circumstances, linked to rumours of an ancient treasure hidden beneath the church.
