The Blood of the Messiah (The Sherlock Holmes Advent Calendar: The Arrival of the Saviour, Episode 18)

After a night spent in the secret passages, Holmes and Watson walk into the refectory for breakfast – and lay the empty vial of Christ's blood on the table in front of the Abbot and the Vicar. Someone has injected the blood of the Messiah in the secret laboratory, says Holmes. Or is a new Messiah meant to be born from it? Brother Peter speaks of sacrilege and fantasy, Brother Francis fears the arrival of the papal envoy, Cardinal Fossanova. Back in their cell, Holmes and Watson cannot sleep: does the world need a new Messiah – and what would a detective do without crime? Holmes' next plan: back to the laboratory once more. This radio play was produced with the help of Eleven Labs and using properly licensed voice clones, and was checked by human proofreaders.
