The Beginner's Guide to Trading Bots: Everything You Need to Start Trading with AI

You've heard the promises: AI bots that trade while you sleep, algorithms that beat the market, passive income on autopilot. This book is not that story.

In "The Beginner's Guide to Trading Bots", Victor Adeyemi Sloane cuts through the hype to give you a grounded, honest look at how AI and automated systems actually work in financial markets. You'll learn what trading bots can and — more importantly — cannot do, why most retail traders lose money with algorithms, and how to approach this world with clear eyes.

Inside, you'll discover the real mechanics: how bots read market data, execute orders, and manage risk. You'll walk through setting up a simple bot, testing it against historical data, and understanding the traps of overfitting, slippage, and platform fees. Every chapter emphasizes the hard truths: past performance never predicts future results, leverage magnifies losses, and the only guarantee in algorithmic trading is uncertainty.

This is not a get-rich-quick manual. It is a practical, responsible foundation for anyone curious about trading with AI — whether you're a developer, an investor, or simply someone who wants to understand the technology shaping modern finance. Part of The AI Trading Library.
