#1 Social fluency is a skill that is learned. It’s easy for us to become stuck in our ways once we establish some semblance of working patterns. We stick with them because it’s a lot of work to seek out new patterns. But once you’re aware of this modeling behavior, you can more easily shift your frame of reference to observing social behaviors after those you would want to copy.

#2 Social fluency is the ability to engage and connect with others, and it is learned. It is not an overnight process, but committing to learning it fully will shorten your learning curve considerably.
