#1 Grammar is important for credibility online, but as a professional writer of 10+ years, I often question its degree of importance. This chapter is the result of my observations and my personal experience.

#2 For many businesses, a few typo’s are not going to damage their credibility. But it depends on your industry. For example, if you are a mom and pop retail store, most people won’t care if you misspell a few words.

#3 There are a few types of businesses that are especially susceptible to bad grammar. If you are in the marketing or writing industry, or sell high-priced items or 5-star service, bad grammar damages your credibility more.

#4 Do not obsess over grammar. Get another set of eyes on your work, whether that’s another one of your writers or a proofreader. People believe that your grammar usage reflects the quality of your product or service.
