Someone Just Followed You

‘I absolutely flew through this and inhaled the pages… So gripping!… Highly recommend this one’ ★★★★★ Reader review Maple Clark has vanished. And there are 1.9 million suspects. Anyone could have followed her. Only one person knows where she is…

I get how this sounds, but you probably know who I am.

I’m Maybe Maple. My mom has been posting videos of me online since I was a baby, and now I have nearly two million subscribers. But that doesn’t mean they know me, the real me. And honestly, I don’t know them.

I used to think my followers were kids like me – into make-up, clothes, pranking. And that the worst thing about my life was my mom and her schedule. But lately, I’m starting to wonder who exactly is on the other side of the screen. And how they might be… bad.

But it’s not like I’m in actual danger, right? Those people watching my videos are harmless, that's what Mom said. So why do I have this weird, creeping feeling in my stomach? Like something is really, really wrong?
