The phone rings on Detective Inspector Tracy Collier’s desk. She closes her eyes momentarily — she doesn’t need a new job on her hands. Not today. A body’s been found. An old lady in her nightie with her throat slit. Happy Monday! Tracy scribbles down the address, alerts the team and takes three flights of stairs at a clip. In a remote farmer’s field, Tracy and DS Damon Hanks find the victim. Mrs Irene Roberts was a resident at Blooming Age care home. How did she end up here, dead in a field? Tracy and Damon head to the care home to find out. There, the sight of Mrs Roberts’ son almost breaks them. He thinks his mother is missing. Not dead. Poor sod.
