While the planet earth was busy with its struggle against coronavirus pandemic in the first half of 2020, temporarily suspension of regional and global disputes was a common practice. However, border disputes between the PRC and India were free from this common practice. Images regarding both countries’ soldiers fighting each other on the disputed spots of the borders in the Himalayas popped up on the social media in May 2020. At first, images of both countries’ soldiers fighting and injuring each other by using stones, clubs, and iron bars around Pangong Tso lake in Ladakh appeared on social media on May 05, 2020. Then, images of a similar skirmish around Nathu La mountain pass in the west of Sikkim surfaced on social media on May 09, 2020. Meanwhile, Minister of Defense of India Rajnat Singh’s attendance to inauguration of Lipulekh Pass, which connects disputed Kalapani region between Nepal and India to Tibet on May 08, 2020, was met with reaction by Nepal. What led the skirmishes between the Chinese and the Indian soldiers clarified in the course of time.
