Newly widowed, Macy Garson is doing her best to live a simple and secure life that her beloved Jake would have been proud of.

She loves her volunteer work at the Happy Paws dog sanctuary, but if she doesn't find a way to make money, and fast, she may not be able to keep up with her mortgage payments in a month or so.

Inspired by a bit of success when she sells some household items, Macy opens an online store and dives into the reselling business. She finds items at garage sales, cleans them up, and puts them in her store, with surprising success.

Her situation improves by leaps and bounds until a woman is murdered and local police focus on Macy, a relative newcomer in their small central Florida town, as the culprit.

When she discovers mysterious items in a jewelry box that seem to relate to the murder, Macy chases down the obscure clues, which catapults her into some very sticky situations.

Scared, uncertain, feeling more alone than ever, and not knowing who to trust, Macy is determined to prove her innocence and get on with her life.

Can she crack the case and solve the crime before she's the killer's next target?
