Sherlock Holmes and the Vanishing Girls of West Ham

It is 1890, and Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson reunite in the fog-bound, grimy streets of East London’s West Ham to unravel a chilling mystery that has haunted the district for years: the unexplained disappearance of local teenage girls. When another young victim, Amelia Jeffs, vanishes and her body is later discovered in a vacant building, the world’s greatest detective and his faithful companion are drawn into a web of secrets stretching back a decade.

Soon, Holmes and Watson lock horns with clandestine criminal networks, sinister dockland smugglers, demure suburban poisoners and fanatical religious sects. As the investigation unfolds, Holmes uncovers a pattern of abuse and exploitation that threatens to claim more innocent lives. With Watson at his side and Inspector Lestrade in tow, he must race against time to expose the truth and save any victims who might still be alive.

Faithful to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s original canon, Sherlock Holmes and the Vanishing Girls of West Ham combines masterful deduction with a stark portrayal of Victorian society. As Holmes and Watson delve into the dark underbelly of this forgotten true crime, they confront not only a cunning adversary, but the terrifying truth that some monsters hide in plain sight.
