Nemt tilgængelig indflyvning i, hvad vi rent historisk ved om Shakespeare (personen). Der løftes lidt af sløret for hans samtid, kildemateriale, teorier, muligheder osv. (er især glad for sidste kapitel, hvor han sætter de akademiske konspirationsteorister på plads).Noget dybere kendskab til Shakespeares stykker eller sonetter er ikke nødvendigt, ejheller nogen dybere akademisk viden om noget - bare nysgerrighed.Bill Bryson indlæser selv bogen, og det gør han virkelig, virkelig godt!

A good read, living up to all its promises. A very nice take at the end to feature an interview with Bill Bryson, truly enriching as to gaining even greater perspective.
