One hellish night, Morrigan Holmes ruined everything. Fleeing scandal and grief, her only choice is to run. In the darkness of London’s streets, a child is kidnapped before her eyes, and she barely escapes the same fate. Adrift, she seeks help in strange quarters: a radical suffragist, a half-blind journalist, a sinister physician, and the enigmatic street boy, Magpie.
