Leah Marie Plays Soccer

Leah Marie has Down syndrome. She goes to watch her little sister play soccer and wonders if she could play soccer, too. Leah Marie's mother finds a program called Top Soccer, which is designed to help children with many types of differences to play and enjoy the game of soccer. In this story, we see Leah Marie go from watching from the sidelines to being an active part of a soccer team. Through this book, the readers learn that all children, regardless of their ability, can play soccer. The moments shared in this book come directly from the experiences of Leah Marie, the great-granddaughter of one of the authors.
