Historie
17 years ago, two lives were lost in a tragic holiday shooting in Tacoma, Washington.
On November 28th, 2002, the paths of 19-year-old Kimberly Riley and 5-year-old Jeremy Britt-Bayinthavong would converge at a house in Tacoma's South End. Jeremy was the grandson of the homeowners, who were hosting a large Thanksgiving party, while Kimberly (an out-of-state student attending the University of Washington) was a family friend.
As the evening began to die down, a shooter would open fire into the home's windows, shooting Kimberly and Jeremy (alongside two others). Both would eventually succumb to their injuries, and the shooting remains unsolved almost two decades later.
