A skull was found near the remains of Long Island Serial Killer victim Jane Doe No. 3, also known as “Peaches,” on a beach in Nassau County. We now know the body parts are from the same victim: Karen Vergata, 34, a mother of two. It took nearly 30 years to identify the dismembered remains. The cause of death isn't known.
