In the Snowstorm (The Sherlock Holmes Advent Calendar: The Arrival of the Saviour, Episode 11)

To find out more about the dead Brother Emanuel, someone must travel to Teddington – but the trains are not running, the roads are impassable, and Holmes can hardly walk on his injured leg. So the choice falls on Watson, who has only just escaped an avalanche. Armed with a map, a compass, a flask of tea and a borrowed monk's habit, he sets off through the snowstorm – accompanied by Harry, supposedly the best mule in the abbey. The climb over the hills near Strawberry Hill becomes an ordeal: cold, exhaustion and a stubborn companion who has no intention of turning back. Up on the plateau, with Teddington already in sight, Watson's strength fails him … Can a mule save him from freezing to death? This radio play was produced with the help of Eleven Labs and using properly licensed voice clones, and was checked by human proofreaders.
